The multi-disciplined curriculum offers an array of programmes to keep every student rewardingly engaged under the watchful eyes of the mentors.

Sports And Adventure

Our school’s annual-itinerary is dotted with tours and treks. Sports and games, too, form an integral part of learning at the GRD Academy. Participation is mandatory. We also ensure that sports and adventure enthusiasts have a lot to indulge in and be joyous about.

  • Train rides, horse-cart rides, boating in lake offer a fantasy-world recreation to the pre-schoolers.
  • Cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, kho-kho, table-tennis, skating, swimming and workouts in gymnasium keep the sport-buffs healthily engaged.
  • Randeep Singh, a student of our school, has won many a laurel in cricket. A left hand bowler, his prominent achievements find a mention below:
  • Participated (2016) in under-14 for Ludhiana district cricket association(LDCA) organised by Punjab Cricket Association(PCA).
  • Participated in( 2018-2019) in Punjab State team for Vijay Merchant Trophy matches organised by Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI).
  • Participated ( 2019-2020) in Punjab State team for Cooch Behar trophy organised by BCCI.
  • Participated (2000) in Ranji Trophy and proved net bowler in (PUNJAB V/S HARYANA) match held at Mohali
  • Participated ( 2020-2021) in Ludhiana District Cricket Association(LDCA)for district matches Our sports programmes are directed towards realizing the adage, "The battle of Waterloo was won in the play fields of Eton".

Compulsory
Competitions

Competitions commence with one’s stepping into the GRD Academy. Compulsory competitions prove a catalyst in transformational change among our students. Inter Class, Inter House and Inter School Contests, at regular intervals, keep our students in an animated state of preparedness all through the academic year. From academics to sports to curriculars everything is keenly contested. Each endeavour heartily applauded, every achievement handsomely rewarded and each winner recognized. The rigours of contests enable our students to tide the ebbs and flows of life with dignified poise.

State Of The Art Infrastructure :

Our state-of-the-art infrastructure provides a leading edge to our students. An array of multi-media tools and learning resources empower students with insights anew. LCD projector and subject-specific software, in each classroom, supplement the efforts of the teachers thereby making learning a pleasurable and profitable experience.

Well equipped Chemistry, Physics and Biology labs add to enhance the learning experiences. The language and computer labs are the key attractions. It is here that the technology supplements the efforts of the teachers and the students are honed to perfection.

Arts Lab :

It is here that the students paint their dreams in rich and varied hues and make them descend on the canvass.The most happening place, it plays an active role throughout the session. Its creations adorn all vantage points of the school.

Prefectorial-board :

A Prefectorial-Board with the Head Boy and Head Girl at the helm and the House- Captains and Prefects provides each child with a supportive peer group structure. The members of the Board are entrusted with the responsibility of conducting all functions and ensuring discipline. It instills in them a sense of camaraderie, espirit de corps and spirit of self-governance.

Nurturing Creativity:

Guru Ram Dass Academy Ludhiana is a virtual lab. It provides opportunities galore that inspires one to ghink ‘out of box’ and translate one’s dreams into creations of aesthetic delight. Theme based ‘ tableaus’, ‘wall magazines’, heritage and cultural exhibitions keep the students meaningfully enthused besides honing their latent talents.

Counselling And Guidance :

We recognize the importance of counselling in helping students deal with emotional and scholastic stress. Students with learning disabilities and those grappling with peer- pressure, adolescence related issues and stage-fright are recognized and every effort made to iron out their inconsistencies.

We firmly believe in career-guidance. Special career-related information is provided through literature, movies, interactions with eminent professionals and visits to industries and institutions. Etiquette training and personality development are other key areas where we make a difference in the lives of students under our care.
